MIND : -HOME SICKNESS; with red face, sleeplessness and disposition to suicide.
-Awkward, runs into everything.
-Dipsomania, Delirium TREMENS.
-Jocular, sings; yet at slightest cause get angry.
-Obstinacy, capriciousness [Cham, Cina].
-If she wants a certain thing, she will oppose if proposed by someone else.
-Very sensitive, feels easily insulted, insecure without social relationship, tries to be more sociable to hide insecurity.
-Fear-of censure, of ghosts.
-Nostalgia; emotions go back to past events with such force, that it overtakes the whole person and he thinks he will die, cant stand it. Lives totally in the past.
-When reaches point where cant tolerate past emotions, he switches off completely and cant or wont remember. No feelings left.
-Tremendous anxiety (hidden), has to accomplish something but the mind is dull and anxious because cannot accomplish what he has to do.
-Averse to go outside their routine.
-Lazy; tries to do best with least effort, indolent, sluggish.
GUIDING INDICATIONS : -Person of lax fibres, weak, lazy, indolent, fat, red, clumsy, awkward and of unclean habits.
-Affects mucous membranes which become dark, red, spongy, ooze bloody mucus, producing a sensation of soreness and CONSTRICTION.
-Pains-Burning, SMARTING as if pepper is sprinkled on the part.
-Pungent or strangling, threadlike
-Tearing, drawing from above downward.
-Shuddering during pain or from drinking.
-Burning pains and general chilliness.
-Marked tendency to suppuration in every inflammatory process.
-Persons who react poorly and are afraid of COLD.
-Abstainers from accustomed alcoholics.
-Circulation sluggish; parts pinched remain in raised position for a long time.
-Head-Headache from any over indulgence; bursting headache as if head would fly to pieces, holds head with hands < coughing > heat > movement >lying with head high.
-Ears-MASTOIDITIS; Tenderness over petrous bone [Onos].
-Nose-NOSE RED, BUT COLD.
-G.I.T.-Stomatitis; foetid odor from mouth.
-Hot feeling in fauces.
-Pain and dryness in throat extending to ears.
-SORE THROAT OF SMOKERS and DRINKERS with tenacious mucus difficult to dislodge.
-Very painful sensation in the throat when coughing and stitches in neck of bladder < between acts of swallowing [Ign].
-Uvula, swelled, elongated with sensation as if it were pressing on something hard.
-Intense craving for stimulants, pungent things, pepper, coffee, beer, alcohol, whiskey, salt.
-Whiskey drinkers crave pepper, but pepper increases desire for whiskey.
-Desire for coffee but it nauseates.
-MUCH THIRST, BUT DRINKING CAUSES SHUDDERING and pain in back.
-EXCESSIVE THIRST AFTER STOOL, SHUDDERING and pain in back.
-Dysentery; bloody mucus and burning and tenesmus, drawing pain in back after stool.
-Bleeding piles with soreness of anus. Burning piles; as if pepper was sprinkled on them.
-In piles; tenesmus ani > only by squatting down on heels.
-Urinary system-Burning at orifice of urethra.
-Male genitalia-Gonorrhoea; second stage, white discharge, -Excessive sensibility of parts to touch or contact, cordee only suppressed by cold water.
-Coldness of scrotum in morning on waking, impotency.
-Respiratory system-With explosive cough, there escapes a volume of pungent, foetid air.
-Pain in distant parts on coughing; bladder, legs, ears etc.
-Cough > drinking cold water.
-Constriction of chest, arrests breathing.
-Extremities-Sciatica < coughing, bending backward.
-Fever-CHILL begins between shoulder blades > heat.
-Sensitive to noise during chill.
-Chilly after drinking. No thirst during sweat and heat stage.
-Sleep-Lies in unusual position on back with right knee raised to get sleep.
-Wakes up 3 hours after sleep, overtaken by anxiety and insecurity, stays awake 2 hours, then falls asleep again until late morning.
KEYNOTES : -HOMESICKNESS with red face and sleeplessness and disposition to suicide.
-NOSE RED, BUT COLD.
-TONGUE; GREENISH AT BASE.
-Intense craving for stimulants, pepper.
-Much thirst but drinking causes shuddering.
-Stools followed by thirst, followed by shuddering.
-Pain in distant parts on coughing.
CONFIRMATORY SYMPTOMS : -Phlegmatic temperament and laxness of muscles. Tendency to get fat.
-BURNING and sensation OF CONSTRICTION.
-Coldness of parts. Chilliness; persons afraid of cold.
-Sluggishness, lack of reaction.
-Oversensitiveness to noise. All senses acute.
-Distant pains especially on coughing.
-HOME SICK WITH DISPOSITION TO SUICIDE.
CLINICAL : -Capsicum tincture in used as a stoma for lack of appetite and dyspepsia-Dr.Otto Lesser.
-10 minim does of the tincture given before meals cures dipsomania-Dr.Lyanr, Dr.Ringer.
-10-30 drops of the tincture will enable a drunkard to walk home-Dr.Ghusal.
RENEDY REACTIONS: -Antidoted by-Calad, Camph, Chin, Cina, Sulph-ac or vapours of burning sulphur.
-Antidotes-Effects of alcohol, coffee, opium, quinine.
